our visit
Last week we visited the Sinai Academy in Bloubergrant.
The class went to a synagogue.When the class got their the boys wore a kippah on their head.Then every sat down on a chair.The boys sat one side,the girls sat on the other side.The Rabbi showed us the Jewish Bible,we read it back to front.Then the Rabbi blew a rams horn it was very loud.
We had Shabbat with the Jewish children.We ate challah bread,we drank grape juice.one of the boys prayed in Hebrew,which is the Jewish language.They showed how they lit the candles.
I enjoyed the morning I respect their religion and what they celebrate.
